Bandstand Dedication Day

Charlson Thun Community Bandstand

The ACCC was proud to participate in the Dedication Day for the new Charlson Thun Community Bandstand in Victoria on Stieger Lake on May 18, 2016. The ACCC sponsored the children’s folk duo Jack and Kitty to perform from 10am to 2pm for the students of Victoria Elementary.

The kids enjoyed listening and participating with Jack and Kitty. Three of the ACCC Poetry Contest winners were there to read their poems to their classmates and receive their ribbons from Barb Hone and the ACCC. The 5th grade band played on stage too!

After the music, the students toured the Art Exhibit on display in the Victoria Library. The artwork was from Victoria Elementary students grades K-5. The Art Exhibit was arranged by the ACCC and hosted by the Friends of the Victoria Library.

Before they headed back to school, the students lined up for a dish of vanilla ice cream from The Social Ice Cream Parlor.

The day was a true collaboration between community, businesses and organizations. We were proud to be a part of the celebration and highlight the Arts on this special day.
