Small Dish Beginning Glass Fusing

Small Dish Beginning Glass Fusing

Create your own small dish from glass. You will develop an abstract or realistic miniature design out of fusible glass on a clear round or square background. You will learn to shape your design elements by cutting or nipping the glass and placing the pieces onto the background base using a “glue” that will burn off in the kiln. Your creations will be fired twice in the kiln after class – once to fuse the glass into a solid form and another time to slump them in a mold to form a shallow dish. The finished work will be available for pick up about a week after the class at the Art Center Gift Shop.
